About Me edit

I come from an Arab family living in the towns of Majd al-Krum and Kafr Yasif in the western Galilee region of Palestine. My father's family is originally from Aleppo while my mother's is from Gaza. I view myself as an Arab and not so much as a Palestinian (I compare it to being someone from a province of a nation rather than a separate country). I believe Palestine should be liberated from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea and then merged with Lebanon, Jordan and Syria (See: Greater Syria). Of course... under the conditions that it be a democratic Arab republic not a dictatorship, monarchy or Western puppet-state. (I know its a little naive, but people could dream...)

I joined wikipedia because I believe Arab and Palestine-related subjects are not satisfactorily represented and wish to expand the information base on these subjects to Americans and Westerners in general, so they could better and neutrally understand the situation overseas and that Arabs are not all a bunch of terrorists, desert dwellers or whatever they think, but a rich ethnic group responsible for several contributions to the world (algebra, alcohol, refined sugar, refined cotton, coffee, translating Aristotle's works, etc.) I am also highly interested in the geography of Palestine (cities and towns mostly) so I make many contributions and new articles relating to that matter. Most of my contributions deal with Palestine, but here and there I drop by various Arab and Islam-related articles.[1] Despite my Arab nationalist political view, I edit with NPOV as is required and I respect all viewpoints and beliefs. I also avoid articles dealing directly with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, because their usually a war zone and its rather hard to edit things.
