I have removed the prod tag added to this page on the grounds that the club is notable. Al Wefaq is a football club that has played at the highest level in Libya as recently as the 2005/06 season (See http://www.rsssf.com/tablesl/lib06.html). I don't know if the club is fully professional, but it is notable as a club which has played at the highest level in its national championship. You can find examples of lower-league football clubs in almost every country which are not fully professional but have played at the top level at some point in their existence. If Al Wefaq is not considered notable, then hundreds of lower level clubs from England and other places in Europe must fail the notability test as well. Best regards. Make the claim for notability in the article not here. Improve the article by telling us what about the team makes it wiki worthy. And if you think that many other teams are less notable, then you can follow through and make sure they aren't on wiki if they truly aren't notable. Postcard Cathy 02:07, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
