Albert (Al) Schule, was Reeve of the Municipal District of Rocky View in southern Alberta from 2002 to 2007. Schule was a Councillor at Rocky View since 1988. In 2002, he was elected Reeve of the municipality by his Council colleagues. During this time, Rocky View saw some of the greatest growth and development in Alberta and the Calgary Region.
As the Council representative for Division 4 in Rocky View, which includes the Hamlet of Langdon, local residents affectionately referred to Reeve Schule as the "Mayor" of Langdon.
Most recently, Schule sought the nomination to be the Progressive Conservative candidate for Provincial MLA (Member of the Legsliative Assembly of Alberta) for the constituency of Airdrie-Chestermere. The nomination was won by Airdrie lawyer, Rob Anderson.
Al Schule was born in Carmel, Saskatchewan and was raised in the Blaine Lake area, north of Saskatoon. In 1981, Schule moved to Alberta and in 1985, moved to Langdon. Schule and his family started an auto repair and parts store in 1989 and coffee shop 1995 in Langdon.
In 1973, Al Schule married his wife Jamie. They raised 7 children and now have 7 grand children.
