Al Rosas

Al Rosas, CCP is a Floridan organic farmer. Nicknamed and trademarked as The Organic Chef, he runs the Rosas Farms in Marion County, which produces and sells all grass-fed and organic foods. The farm sells its products at the farm market and through Sysco[1][2] and instructs hundreds of other organic farmers all over the United States on how to produce their own organic foods under the "Rosas Farms" label.[3]

In 2008, Rosas is publishing a cookbook of organic recipes, titled The Organic Chef. In January this year, he was awarded the Culinary Entrepreneur of the Year award by the Cordon Do'r for his innovation in producing and marketing organic foods.[1] He was also awarded Walt Drigger's Environmentalist of the Year, Minority Business of The Year and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Blue Ribbon Award. He will be presenting a culinary demonstration at the 2008 All Things Organic in Chicago. Chef Al is represented by Evan Morganstein of PMGChefs and Premier Management Group. Rosas Farms is a Gallo Wines Gold Medal Best Artisan Product Finalist.
