Robinson was the Featherweight (125 pounds) Silver Medalist in the 1968 Olympic Games. Robinson lost a disputed bout to gold medalist Antonio Roldan. Robinson was dominating the fight when suddenly the referee gave Robinson a warning, and about a minute later, the referee issued a second violation, an automatic disqualification. [1]
[edit] Pro Career
Robinson turned pro in 1969 and won his first six bouts before being shockingly KO'd by journeyman Fermin Soto. He recovered after the loss to win his next six bouts.
