Al Platte

Alfred Frederick Joseph Platte (April 13, 1890 - August 29, 1976), was a Major League Baseball player who played for the Detroit Tigers in 1913. Platte played in 18 games, 5 as the backup left fielder, and the rest as a pinch-hitter. Platte had a .111 career batting average, not good enough to make it in the major leagues. Platte died in 1976 at age 86. Platte was born and died in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
