Al Noor Academy

Al Noor Academy, Arabic: النور اکادمی, Academy of Light, is an Islamic middle school and high school located in Mansfield, Massachusetts. It is also associated with the elementary school in Sharon, Massachusetts, Islamic Academy of New England.

It began renting out classrooms at Quincy Mosque in Quincy, Massachusetts. They then purchased an old church in Mansfield, Massachusetts and renovated it. It is a smaller, but very quickly growing educational institution.

The first graduation ceremony (Procession of Light) was held in the Tang Center at MIT in 2004. Students during the past 5 graduations have been accepted to colleges such as Boston University, Clark University, Northeastern University, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Massachusetts, University of Rhode Island, Wellesley College, and others.

There are many growing extracurricular activities at Al-Noor Academy. They have a newly formed boys soccer team, FC Al-Noor in the Massachusetts Youth Soccer League, have Jummu'ah or Friday prayer as well as the five daily prayers at the school, and participate in local outreach and community service events.
