Al McAffrey is an American politician who has served, since November 16, 2006, as a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

A Democrat, he won the party's primary on July 25, 2006 in the state's 88th district. No Republican filed for the seat, which is based in downtown Oklahoma City, so his primary victory assured him of election.

McAffrey is a funeral director, member of the Choctaw nation of Native Americans, Navy veteran and former Oklahoma City Police Department officer. He is the first ever openly gay member of the Oklahoma Legislature and only the second openly gay public official in the history of Oklahoma.

A supporter of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, McAffrey is a pledged delegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver.

His election campaign was supported by the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund.
