Al Khums

Al Khums & Leptis (Arabic: ألخمس ) was one of the municipalities of Libya. It is in the north-west of the country. Its capital is Al Khums. 120km east of Tripoli along the coast lies this ancient Roman city; it prospered for 500 years, most notably under the patronage of home-town boy, Emperor Septimus Severus aka "the Grim African" -- various monuments are named after him.
