Al Fateh University (Arabic: جامعة الفاتح) is the largest and most important institute of higher education in Libya. It is located in the capital Tripoli. The university was founded in 1957 and provides undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels of study.It was named Al Fateh University in 1976 after the revolution of the same name. The university comprises the following faculties: Science (the first faculty to be established), Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Pharmacy, Arts, Veterinary medicine, Dentistry, Medical Technology, Arts, Law and Economics. Another five off-campus institutions were recently incorporated into the university.
