Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah (Arabic: الحسكة‎) is the capital city of the Al Hasakah Governorate and is located in the far north-east corner of Syria. Al Hasakah has the second highest population in the governorate, 81,809, with the majority being Syriacs and Kurds. The alkhabor river runs through Al Hasakah and the rest of the governorate.
