Al-Ahly Tripoli (Arabic: الأهلي طرابلس) is a Libyan football club based in Tripoli, Libya. The club was founded in 19th September 1950 in the capital of Libya, Tripoli. The name Al Ahli –which relates to people or citizens in Arabic- was selected after the British administration in Libya refused to accept the name Al Istiklal – Independence - .

The club has the largest number of supporters in Libya, in a close rivalry with Al Ittihad of Tripoli.
