ABOUT "CROTRAM" ( and Duro Dakovic)
It would be very nice not to change parts of text so quickly, without any knowledge on subject!
For instance, Djuro Djakovic ( cro. Đuro Đaković) is real part of "Crotram" consortium, since it has very long tradition in building and production of trams. But, also it was first factory at south-east Europe (including Slovenia and Greece) with capability of production trams, trains, wagons, tractors, process equipment, tanks, heavy machinery, nuclear reactors, sophisticated bridges etc. Today, aldough it was plagued by war and transition, it is recovered and produce large scale of sophisticated products that are exported in EU countries. For instance, it is one of only few firms in the whole world capable to build high-tech, and the most complex steal bridges. Also Duro Dakovic is producing the most sophisticated military machinery and vehicles, car parts, producing wagons and special vehicles (eg. robotic mine-finder), building and reconstructing factories, producing agricultural vehicles, producing hot boilers and equipment for thermo plants etc...
Duro Dakovic (Đuro Đaković) is also very known and recognized in many EU countries for it's high quality ISO,ASTM,SGS and other standards, and very high skilled personell, which it's long tradition, since there is a Faculty of Mechanical engineering in Slavonski Brod- home town of the company.
Some international partners of the company: Fiat (Ita) Škoda (Cz), Siemens (Ger), Krupp (Ger), Babcock (Ger)...
regards,
lokkis, Croatia.

[edit] Wikics template
Hi Aktron! I've just created a new template to indicate English Wikipedia user who also contribute to the Czech Wikipedia.

[edit] Pronunciation
Hello! I'm trying to learn how to correctly pronounce the username I've owned for several years now. Specifically, I'm not sure about the pronunciation of the Czech word "Armádní." I seek your help on this because you appear to be an active Wikipedian and a native speaker of Czech. If it would be possible for you to upload to Wikipedia or any other location, a sound clip of the proper pronunciation, I would be very grateful.
Thank you!

- the pronounciation is like this: ãrmãdnyee. The audio file I have problem to upload. Aktron 09:45, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Metro images
Hi, just wanted to point your attention to my comments on Talk:Moscow_Metro#Images from Metro.ru REALLY usable? in regards to your copyvio concerns. I do not have an answer to your question, but if I were you I'd try to do some more research on the topic. Good luck! lensovet 21:50, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- This thing is I hope solved... I do not want to open it again. As i have found, the images of moscow metro stations are from a lot of websites, not only from metro.ru or metrowalks.ru. To investigate it would take terribly much time... for all of us. Responsible for this situation are simply the ones, who uploaded current files. Aktron 23:32, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vandal blocking
Hello Aktron, thanks for considering me for blocking the user. But I do not find any vandalism (if this is, sorry, no cs) for more than an hour. You could report such cases on administrator intervention. I would say to warn the user for not making any more vandalism in the future. If still the user continues the vandalism in his contributions, then the user really needs blocking. Shyam (T/C) 21:29, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Ok... We were quite annoyed on cs. IRC channel because of this.. This is not the first example of such user behavior; it happend several times, my own, and other cs. sysops usperpages here were vandalised. And because of that his name could be translated as Proud rod or Proud penis there is also possibility to block him because of bad username. --Aktron 21:33, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ponytail Picture--Good Example of Very Long?
The ponytail seems quite long to me, but I'm not sure what you think. Respond on the article's talk page. Two or three years is still a long time to spend growing something that can be taken as easily as hair. Should we place such emphasis on his ponytail's length?
- Well two or three years are quite long, but in the text there were wrong informations. I can't last about 4 or 5 year to anybody to let ponytail like this grow. --Aktron 15:28, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
A ponytail like what? A ponytail that long? Please explain what you mean.
- I mean the picture in the ponytail article. Please follow the conversation before adding new respose. --Aktron 23:49, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
What I mean to ask is, is that particular ponytail any longer than normal? If so, is it much or only slightly longer? I was looking for an example of a very long ponytail on a male.
- It is really long and it is really not ordinary; at least I don't see things like this every day. And I live in city with 1 million people :-D --Aktron 11:03, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stop missorting
Please stop creating articles such as Jiři Mádl if you cannot add the proper sort keys so that the articles are indexed properly in categories. I fixed that one. Go back and fix any others you have left missorted in their categories the same way, whether it is the result of mere ignorance or intentional disruption. You ought to know that such moved can mess up the indexing, and take efforts to check the sorting when you make them. Gene Nygaard 06:50, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- That's exactly the point, Aktron. Sure, in this case, it was already missorted in its categories, and you just did not fix it. When the categories already have sort keys, the indexing doesn't change--but if you had been checking on that, you could have noticed the problem and fixed it. However, if they don't have them, then changing the name of an article changes its sorting in categories, at least if you do not take the steps to keep it from doing so. The default sort key is the article's name.
- However, the situation is totally different in the case of your move of Skoda Astra. That article was properly sorted in the Category:Tram vehicles before your move. Assuming the same articles were there, it would have appeared between "Serio" and "T-68" in the alphabetical listing. But after your move, it is grossly missorted. It appears after "Z" in the listing, but it should instead still appear between "Serio" and "T-68" just as it did before. Your move messed it up, and in this case it was clearly your responsibility to fix it. This one was correct before your move.
- Fortunately, you don't seem to moved many articles, unlike many of the others who have created these problems. So maybe you could go fix that one, and file this information away for future reference when you make such moves in the future. Gene Nygaard 19:19, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- I'm sorry, and I should be. Because I'm cs.wiki sysop and I should know it, because I messed it like this, because I did not understand your notice on the first time. Such categories with about 1000 entries are - and must be very problematic. --Aktron 19:25, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Czech -> English
Hi. My name is Eysteinn and I come from Iceland. I'm a huge fan of the movie Hostel. The problem is, they use a lot of different language and don't translate any of it. Since you are from Czech republic, I thought I might ask if you can translate any of the following audio files that I have created. I made my best guess acording to the plot on what language it is. If you could fill in the gaps that you can, that would be greatly appreceated. I will then post it on the wikiquote for the film so that others may enjoy your hard work. I recomend that you turn your speaker up. Preferebly have a pair of headsets.

[edit] Thank you for the anti vandalism work
Thanks for the vandalism reverts. One thing. When using certain template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template.Inter16 15:53, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- When revering my user talk page today, I remembered, how vandalism can be dangerous. I decided to do some work here because of this. OK, no problem for me to substitute the templates next time:-) --Aktron (t|c) 15:55, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

- Možná nebude od věci požádat o polozamknutí stránek, které pmp nejvíc vandalizuje. Konkrétně KDU-ČSL a SWk. Ty se tu líp vyznáš, zkus to domluvit, prosím. --Cinik 02:51, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Systematický vandalismus Pmp
Systematický vandalismus od Pmp mi už leze krkem. Bohužel se tu nevyznám a moje angličtina není nic moc. Byli bychom sto (i s pomocí dalších lidí) dát dohromady žádost o arbitráž? Arbcom Anglický arbcom by setrvalé osobní útoky, snahu o zveřejňování osobních údajů a systematickou vandalizaci článků jistě patřičně ocenil a třeba by se i rozhodl zablokovat všechny adresy 71.99... --Cinik 04:26, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:NOT
Yup, WP:NOT censored. Also WP:NOT a soapbox, WP:NOT a place to perpetuate the meme, WP:NOT a place to deliberately goad MPAA in the hope of a takedown notice, and several other things. Deliberately circumventing changes made by the devs to prevent insertion of this text constitutes gross stupidity, if nothing else. Foundation has not yet expressed a view, the default is to exclude content until there is consensus to include it, and consensus does not mean lots of noise by a few people eager to get one over on The Man. Add the key again and I will block you. Have a nice day, Guy (Help!) 15:49, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm. I do not want to solve anything by revert war. I reverted this once, and I think that was enough. If you think anything other than I do, that is ok, but I have read the official policy and I do believe that the en.wikipedia sysops must obey it. If they do not, it is problem and it must be solved in proper way. I have been on Wikipedie enough time to understand, what should be here and what not. That is all that I can say now for this. --Aktron (t|c) 16:47, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
-
- As you noted on my talk, yes, it's a copyright issue. Silly? For sure. But that's how it is: sites have already received takedown notices, so we know the rights owners assert ownership. This was not smart, as it's helped to spread the meme, but there you go. Thanks for understanding. Guy (Help!) 19:55, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- I have heard that such problems would really harm the foundation. I understand why there is such effort to stop this. But at least vandals still can insert this key to many articles. And it will be in history... this war is unable to be won, because the aims are too unable in current internet/or wikipedia. --Aktron (t|c) 20:02, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Travian-czech screenshot.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Travian-czech screenshot.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:04, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Diacritics
Sorry for the wrong link, it's actually here: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Ice_Hockey#Diacritics on non-team and non-player pages. Basically, the deal is this: all North American hockey-related pages: no diacritics; all other pages and individual player pages: diacritics. Since we don't use them here in the US and Canada, any NHL page, AHL, or other North American hockey page that is not a player's page will hide the diacritics. If it's a Swedish hockey page, or a Czech hockey page, we'll use them. That's the compromise, and hence why I reverted your edit. Anthony Hit me up... 16:41, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
