This is a page that I originally found in the page Akroydon, Halifax, which was deleted. Google had a cache of the page, which contained the information that I put on the article. Hope I didn't do anything wrong... --Richman271Hi there! 22:36, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

No, your rescue was well done. The page should not have been deleted in the first place.
I have started a merge proposal as Ackroyden also exists and we don't need both. This page gives a better idea why the article is needed. See the talk page for Edward Akroyd for details.
