Akrapovič is one of the world's leading motorcycle exhaust companies, founded in 1990 by experienced Slovenia racer Igor Akrapovič.
In tuning racing motorcycles, Akrapovič was confronted with an insurmountable problem in that there were simply no high-quality exhaust systems available to the public that could meet extreme technical demands. The available systems were usually made with the main parts welded together and thick pipe walls. It was considered a success if the system at least came close to fitting onto the bike for which it was intended. Technically superior exhaust systems were often very expensive and difficult for the average customer to obtain, which Akrapovič intended to solve.
The products have evolved through experience gained from partnerships with factory teams in Moto GP, Superbike , Supersport, Supermoto, Motocross, Enduro and Rally Raid. Their use of materials like carbon-fibre, titanium, stainless steel and now inconel, coupled with industry leading manufacturing techniques such as tube extrusion, bending, welding and hydro-forming, attempt to ensure that all Akrapovič products live up to the quality expected by the consumer.

[edit] Slip-On Silencers
The Akrapovič SLIP-ON system is a parallel line to the Bolt-On series and is based on a simple replacement of the stock muffler together with the link pipe. The system is developed and fine-tuned for each specific model of motorcycle, and is the last step before a serious tune-up involving the replacement of the entire exhaust system.
[edit] Sport Production Systems
The line is a complete replacement exhaust system. It represents the first level of serious performance improvement, using a completely redesigned exhaust system.
It is intended for those who expect sports performance but not the extreme racing characteristics of a race-replica exhaust system. The major advantage of this line is that it is intended for everyday use.
[edit] Racing Conical Systems
The RACING line intends to guarantee high performance. The increase in power and torque is extreme. This series has the special characteristic of having the power concentrated in the upper end of the RPM range.

The Evolution line has an unconventional physical structure of each design.
[edit] Street Legal Line
The Street Legal line is a special line which satisfies the strict EGE regulations for use in road traffic. It has to meet noise emission and safety standards. Since it is quieter than other Akrapovič exhaust systems, but still has the deep recognisable Akrapovič sound, it is intended for customers with a greater need for limited noise emissions.
The major advantage of the line is the option of a two-way use of the exhaust system.
