[edit] Naming conventions

The current Wikipedia naming convention is to simply state "Firstname Lastname". This is used on all articles which are up to standards. Please do not change any articles to use your suggested convention unless it is accepted as a standard on Wikipedia. -℘yrop (talk) 06:24, May 15, 2005 (UTC)

For Japanese names, you should look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (Japan-related articles)#Person names. To summarize: most articles for modern Japanese are in Given name Surname order. For historical figures, however, such as the haiku poet Matsuo Basho, the names will follow the Japanese tradition of Surname Given name (no comma). BlankVerse 11:42, 15 May 2005 (UTC)
I will respect the current naming style since it has not come to consensus. However, I still strongly feel that clarity and consistency with surname comma given name is significantly better to provide greater improvement. Akosygin 04:35, 16 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] broccoli

Thank you for your work on broccoli, the company. I know that broccoli is credited for several anime as the production company, so I have added that to the broccoli page. - Squilibob 07:17, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

  • It wasn't much, just wanted to return the contribution. Thank you for your contribution. -Akosygin 08:36, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page name for temperature articles

To avoid flip-flopping between 'degree Fahrenheit' and 'Fahrenheit' or 'degree Celsius' and 'Celsius', I propose that we have a discussion on which we want. I see you have contributed on units of measurement, please express your opinion at Talk:Units of measurement. Thanks. bobblewik 22:09, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Animate.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Animate.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:29, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
