Is it intentional? It sure doesn't look like it. Maybe you wanted this instead:

Great! I sure like this one better. If you want, add a space between "talk" and "@" too, to separate them. If that doesn't work, then instead of space, use the code & n b s p ; (without the spaces). Also, be aware that users in general tend to see the bottom of their talk page when they have a message. So press the (+) sign on top to add a new section.
