Please check the Universities - they don't appear to exist as they are written.Peter Rehse 08:39, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Akita Economics University was most recently Akita University of Economics and Law; it is now known as North Asia University. Dgtangman 23:05, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Tohei sent specifically to lead USAF Midwest Region

Yes, it's nitpicking, but I'm not clear that USAF was actually in existence when Tohei Sensei was sent from Japan in 1972. Comment may be anachronistic. Commeatus 02:28, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Fair comment and their was no citation to back it up. I changed the sentence slightly.Peter Rehse 02:36, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

The USAF came into existence in 1976. Tohei Sensei was dispatched to the Illinois Aikido Club, subsequently organized the Midwest Aikido Federation, then affiliated with the USAF. Dgtangman 17:16, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dates and References

The birth and death dates were incorrect - the month and day of death were shown as the birth date. I have also added an infobox, corrected the practice information to indicate that Tohei Sensei started his practice under Koichi Tohei, and added a couple of source references.
