Akizuki Tanezane (秋月 種実? 1548-November 16, 1596) was a samurai warrior who was defeated by the Otomo.[1] Sometime after that he joined the Shimazu clan and fought with them against Toyotomi Hideyoshi in Kyūshū, an island of Japan.[2]

After Sekigahara, he was transferred to Takanabe han (in Hyuga, 20,000 koku), and was succeeded by his son Tanenaga.[3]
