Akihiro Otani (大谷昭宏, Otani Akihiro^?, born July 8, 1945), a Japanese journalist with the Yomiuri Shimbun, known for his political crusade in the Japanese mass media against otaku and his stake in the junior idol industry.^{[citation needed]}
