Ajoy Ghose

Ajoy Ghose was twice awarded the Krupinski Medal (1984 and 2006) for his services to mining, was Director of the Indian School of Mines University in Dhanbad, India and is a past President of the Institution of Engineers(India), the Mining, Geological and Metallurgical Institute of India. He became a Professor of Mining Engineering at the age of 28 and has taught at the Indian School of Mines, the Regional Engineering College, Srinagar and has been a Visiting Professor at the Universities of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (UK) and Wollongong (Australia).
