[edit] License tagging for Image:Silverstone Oct 05 B.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Silverstone Oct 05 B.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:10, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome and thanks for your recent additions
Hello there.
Firstly, I'd like to extend a belated welcome to Wikipedia. Click here if you'd like to see the standard "canned" welcome message — it contains links to some pages you might want to visit (if you haven't already).
Secondly, I'd like to thank you for your recent additions of images, particularly those of Bruno Senna. I noticed you've just added Image:CRW 1348.jpg to the Bruno Senna article; unfortunately, the link was wrong, so the image wouldn't display. I changed the syntax so it would display properly, feel free to change the size or caption. Thirdly (bear with me), I wondered whether you wouldn't like to upload your photos to the Wikimedia Commons, so they can be used on all Wikimedia projects; they could certainly use high-quality images such as yours. You may continue uploading them to Wikipedia if you like; Commons would simply provide a means for them to be used across more projects, and I hope you'll consider this.
Thank you, and welcome again, Fvasconcellos 18:52, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
