Ajmera Global School was established in 1983 by the S.S. Ajmera Trust as S.S. Ajmera High School, to cater to the educational needs of the students in the Yogi Nagar complex, Borivali, Mumbai, India.[1]

Between 1993 and 1999, three closure notices were issued by Ajmera Builders and challenged by parents and teachers of the school.[2] In October 1999, the Bombay High Court ordered the to hand over the management of the school to a committee of teachers.[3]

The school has applied for IB authorization but has not yet as at August 23 2007 received it.[4] It describes itself as "part of IB World School".[5]
