Amanda Jane Herrmann[1](born September 16, 1980) is an American model and actress. She is the Playmate of the Month for the May 2008 issue of Playboy magazine. She is better known by her stage name, AJ Alexander. "AJ" being a nickname given to her by her grandparents when she was 7 years old.

[edit] Early career
Alexander, who is of German, English and Native American descent [2], started performing in commercials for her father's putt-putt golf business when she was 9 years old.[3] She was initially trained as a dental assistant.[1] Eventually she moved to Orange County, California to pursue a full-time career as a model. She made her film debut in the upcoming comedy American Summer, in which she plays a deaf DJ.[3]
Prior to being selected as Playmate, Alexander appeared in Playboy Special Editions Hot Housewives and Sexy 100 in 2007.[4] She has also appeared as a Maxim "Bonus Babe" in 2007.[5]

Alexander is a mother of 2 sons. She spends time with her sons and her career by splitting time between Evansville and Orange County.[1]
