Aitkenhead Glacier

Aitkenhead Glacier (63°57′S 58°44′WCoordinates: 63°57′S 58°44′W) is a glacier about 10 miles (16 km) long, flowing east-southeast from the Detroit Plateau, Graham Land, to Prince Gustav Channel close north of Alectoria Island. Mapped from surveys by Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) (1960-61). Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Neil Aitkenhead, FIDS geologist at Hope Bay (1959-60).
