Ait-Awari
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ait-Awari are a Tuareg tribal group probably originating from northern Berber groups who emigrated southwards centuries ago. Their language, which is called Tetserret or Tin Sirt, may indicate that they came from the gulf of Sirt in Libya.
Today the Ait-Awari community is estimated in a few thousands, they live mainly in the Akabinu or Akoubounou commune in Niger.
