According to the 2001 UK census, Airmyn parish had a population of 795.[1] This has risen to over the 800 mark over the past five years (2001-2006)

The parish was part of the Goole Rural District in the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1894 to 1974, then in Boothferry district of Humberside until 1996.

It also has its own primary school, Airmyn Park Primary School, but it is very small and only has just over a hundred pupils.

Airmyn also includes a fairly large memorial hall, located next to the village field and "Woodland Park" as named by an Airmyn Park Primary School pupil.

There is also the parish church of St David's which is a Grade II listed building and a Post Office at the Memorial Hall hosted twice a week staffed by volunteers.
