Air Rum

Air Rum is a Sierra Leone airline based in Amman, Jordan. It provides worldwide leasing and full charter services. Its main base is Queen Alia International Airport, Amman[1]. It is currently the largest passenger airline to operate the Lockheed L-1011.
The airline is on the List of air carriers banned in the European Union.

The airline was established in 2002 by Mohammad Abu Sheikh (President and General Manager)[1].

On 20 September 2005, an Air Rum aircraft full of Gambian football fans heading for Lima, Peru pretended to be out of fuel so that it could land in Piura. Later that night in Piura's stadium, Gambia played Qatar. [3]
