The Air Force Honor Guard Badge is a military badge of the United States Air Force that is authorized for wear by all personnel who are assigned to the United States Air Force Honor Guard, or are active members of a Base Honor Guard.For males, the badge is worn as a decoration centered on the left uniform pocket, below standard awards and decorations. For females, it is worn on the right side, even with the bottom of their decorations.
The badge has some slight differences between the badge worn by members of the USAF Honor Guard, and those members of Base Honor Guards. The USAF Honor Guard Badge features "USAF HONOR GUARD" in the arc above the main device, and "IN HONORE ET DIGNITAITE" below the main device, while the Base Honor Guard Badge features "BASE HONOR GUARD" in the arc above the main device, and "TO HONOR WITH DIGNITY" below the main device.
The Air Force Honor Guard Badge is considered a temporary badge and can not be worn on any duty uniform upon the member's completion of duty as a ceremoninal guardsmen. There is a subdued version which is sewn onto the member's battle dress uniforms during their tour with the honor guard.
