Air Alsace began as an air taxi operation based in Colmar in 1962. It began operations using small aircraft and in 1974 began regional services. In cooperation with Air France it offered services to Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne, and Rome. London-Gatwick and Milan were later added. Air Alsace entered the jet age with the use of the VFW 614 and later acquired the Fokker F.28. In 1981 it merged with TAT - Touraine Air Transport and Air Alpes to form TAT-Transport Aerien Transregional.
