Talk:Ainu (Middle-earth)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Middle-earth Wikiproject This article is within the scope of WikiProject Middle-earth, which aims to build an encyclopedic guide to J. R. R. Tolkien, his legendarium, and related topics. Please visit the project talk page for suggestions and ideas on how you can improve this and other articles.
Note: Though it states in the Guide to writing better articles that generally fictional articles should be written in present tense, all Tolkien legendarium-related articles that cover in-universe material must be written in past tense. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Middle-earth/Standards for more information about this and other article standards.

[edit] Citations

From here on out, we should all be using citations as per Wikipedia's manual of style.

I am going to start at the top, with Eru and the Valar. From there I will move forward. Please do your part -- the common goal being to make Wikiproject Middle-Earth something worthy of note. Thanks. Ryecatcher773 00:26, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pronunciation.

Would be good if someone familiar with Tolkien's systems of pronunciation give each entry in this sub-project a pronunciation via IPA (Wikipedia [[1]] ). Often Tolkien's words use difficult, different (depending on mythological language), highly opaque spelling (guaranteed to have most people begging for less accents and more consonants.) A reasonably authorative guide to pronunciation for major 'difficult' words would improve the quality of this section of Wikipedia. So would some references, citations, detail and actual entries. ;)
