...the image sucks, as well as the whole anti-X concept. I am opposed to any form of anti-X-ism in WP articles because it is inherently POV since it is doomed to be one-sided, so it qualifies as a POVFORK; and since it is bound to be WP:OR, since no serious academic work can focus on this alone without examining the rest. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. Sorry for the hassle, but I'm not confident with my knowledge of Macedonian as a whole - isn't the word for "here" meant to be тука instead of овде? I always thought it was тука/таму and овде/онде but I'm not sure. Alex 202.10.89.28 (talk) 11:42, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Just one question - why, if as you say you're aiming for NPOV, do you delete quotes from Bulgarian authors and replce them with quotes from Macedonian ones (or rather a Macedonian one)? That's not exactly what I had in mind. My question specifically relates to the Macedonian language, where speakers of different dialects spoke in a fairly uniform "inter-dialect" (which drew from all dialects and was used between speakers of one and another) prior to the codification of the standard language. --AimLook (talk) 16:31, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello...

Can you please tell me why you chose to include United Nations in the nations where Macedonian language is an official language? Check those two out List of official languages by institution and United_Nations#Languages.

And, could you please cite a source as to why Albania is included in that list? I like have posted a question on both this article and Albania, but no answers...

And, please, cite sources when you change articles, if those changes are not easy to be checked by English speakers.

I'm a Greek and live in the local Macedonia region, but wouldn't like a flame war or anything.

Well, you should have used a Balkan language's infobox (Balkan nations' languages' infoboxes always tend to mention those minority language areas :D)

E.g. greek one... |nation = Flag of Greece Greece
Flag of Cyprus Cyprus
Flag of Europe European Union
recognised as minority language in parts of:
Flag of Albania Albania
Flag of Italy Italy

Yet, if it is only one area (Liqenas or Pustec <sarcasm> I like Albanians less than people from ex-YRM </sarcasm>), you should mention that specific area...

Is there possibly a real source as to what is the status in Albania? And, you could expand the liqenas article.

Cause, when you say that they regulate the language it suggests that they're like making the "official" language; the one that "is usually considered by speakers of the language to be more "correct" in some sense than other dialects." Why would you go for "regional", instead of minority? I mean "regional" implies that the language has actually been recognised as an official one, much like the status Albanian has in (FY)ROM. That means, that if "Macedonian" really has the status of an official regional language in Albania, then, the infobox of Albania must be changed in the way the Republic of Macedonia's one is, as far as language is considered. Furthermore, it suggests more changes should be made to accord to that change. As far as I'm aware, official languages are specified by laws (de jure), or de facto, if none is specified de jure. Can someone find either a source that cites what the status of "Macedonian" in Albania is, or, at least, can anyone provide the Albanian view on the subject?
