AIMP is a freeware audio player written by a Russian developer Artem Izmailov. With a somewhat Winamp-like appearance, it is skinnable and supports many audio file types, such as flac, mp3, mp2, mp1, wav, ogg, wma, cda, mtm, mod, xm, it, umx, aif, s3m, mo3, etc. AIMP is based on the BASS sound engine and also uses its audio library.[1]
Latest version is AIMP 2.11, 2008-03-14
Among its distinctive features are the ability to capture streaming content (internet radio), a tabbed playlist, and an integrated audio converter.
It is considered by some to be a good alternative to more performance taxing software.
