Ailnoth

Ælnoth or Ailnoth is an Anglo-Saxon name, and may refer to:

  • Ælnoth of Canterbury, a Benedictine monk in Odense in Denmark who is known for his Life of Saint Canute, an important source for medieval Danish history.
  • Ælnoth (engineer), Keeper of the old Royal Palace of Westminster from 1158 until 1189 and an engineer (ingeniator) in charge of most of the royal building operations during the latter part of the 12th century in England.
