[edit] "the art of jōdō"

"It is well documented that Ueshiba studied several different styles of martial arts, including the art of jōdō (the way of the jō)."

To me this quote seems to claim that Ueshiba studied the martial art of Jodo which I'm fairly sure he did not. None of the principles of Saito (and others) Aiki-jo corresponds to anything of what I've been taught in SMR-Jodo. Ueshiba's Aiki-jo seems to be more spear-oriented with thrusts and blocks than anything else. Fred26 09:34, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
