Aijala

Aijala is a village in the municipality of Kisko in Varsinais-Suomi, Finland. It was the village of Varsinais-Suomi of the year in 2003. It is an old mine village in which there were several ore quarries.
The 1677-1916 lead was quarried in Hopeamäki and Aurums 1684-1957. The 1688-1831 copper was quarried in 1948-1961 iron and when own ore had exhausted, it operated from a near one in the 1950-70s as refining place of the ore that has been produced from the quarry of the forest pit.
