Ahmet Anzavur

Anzavur, Ahmet (d.1921): Circassian guerilla leader in Anatolia who coordinated what is known as Revolt of Ahmet Anzavur during Turkish War of Independence

Anzavur was a gendarme officer in the Ottoman Empire, and served as major during first world war.

During the Turkish War of Independence he was motivated by British secret service and Ottoman Empire to revolt against Mustafa Kemal Pasha and Turkish revolutionaries

He was sentenced to death in February 1921, captured and executed in 15 April 1921
