Ahmet Altan, (born 1950 in Ankara, Turkey) is a famous Turkish author.

He was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1950. He is the son of renowned writer and politician Çetin Altan and elder brother of Mehmet Altan. He currently writes for the newspaper Hürriyet.
