Ahmedgarh is a city and a municipal council in Sangrur district in the Indian state of Punjab.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Ahmedgarh had a population of 70000. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Ahmedgarh has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 56% of the males and 44% of females literate. 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
