Ahmad ibn Naqib al-Misri

Shihabuddin Abu al-'Abbas Ahmad ibn an-Naqib al-Misri (1302 – 1367) was a Sunni Shafi'i scholar who excelled in the area of fiqh.

Ibn an-Naqib was born in Cairo, Egypt, in the year 702AH (1302 C.E.), and died there in 769AH (1367 C.E.).

- Umdat al-Salik wa Uddat al-Nasik (Reliance of the Traveller and the Tools of the Worshipper). A widely popular text in the introduction to Shafi'i fiqh. It has been rendered into English by Nuh Ha Mim Keller with the title Reliance of the Traveller.
