Ahmad Maceo Eldridge Cleaver

Ahmad Maceo Eldridge Cleaver is an African-American writer and student of Islam. He is the son of Black Panthers leader Eldridge Cleaver and Kathleen Neal Cleaver. He was born in Algeria in 1969 while his parents were in exile there, and moved back to the United States in 1971.

He graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in African Studies, and subsequently embraced Islam. He has traveled widely in the Islamic world, and lives in Doha, Qatar. His first book, Soul on Islam references his father's famous Soul on Ice, and was published by Seaburn Publishing Group in 2006.
