Ahmad Belal (Arabic: أحمد بلال) (born August 20, 1980) is an Egyptian footballer (soccer player). He plays the forward position for Egypt's African Super Cup Championship club El-Ahly as well as Egypt's National Football Team. He serves as vice-captain of El Ahly, and is considered one of the best Egyptian strikers.
Belal started playing professionally for Egyption champions El-Ahly, since 2000 and for 5 years, he scored 44 goals in Egyptian League, 3 goals in Egyptian Soccer Cup, and 9 Goals in African Club Cups.
He transferred in 2005 to Turkish side Konyaspor but he chose to return home for his Egyptian side because he want to win tournaments, the thing he missed in Turkey.
Belal has an obvious contribution with national teams, he won African Junior Championship title in 1997, and Participated in FIFA U-17 World Championship 1997 in Egypt, and scored 3 goals there. His latest contribution came in African Cup of Nations Tunisia 2004 where he scored a goal for Egypt. Belal hadn't participate in African Cup of Nations Egypt 2006 because of the Egyptian Coach Hassan Shehata point of view. Belal's latest participation Egypt was in 29 Dec 2005, against Senegal in a friendly tournament before the African Cup of Nations, while his debut national game was on 8 Aug 2002, against Ethiopia when he scored a goal in a friendly match in Cairo.
