[edit] Deletion

After completing several edits of this article, I nominated it for deletion. This invididual is not notable enough for a Wikipedia biography. There are plenty of servicemembers that are convicted and imprisoned for desertion each year, the fact that he deserIn fact, the editor that created this article had more notablity as a leader of an anti-war group, than this individual does. Apparently, this article has already been deleted once before. Equinox137 (talk) 01:52, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

As I added to the recent edit, Aguayo has received a German Peace award, by which he meets one of the standards of notability. He has also been the subject to some media attention. There are many secondary sources that have no relation to him, which mention him. Farbotron (talk) 03:42, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Since no one has responded in a while, I am removing the deletion tag, as I believe my new addition makes Aguayo fit under Wikipedia notability requirements.--Farbotron (talk) 08:01, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

I think the fact that no one has responded in a while buttresses the fact that this article should be deleted. No one knows or cares who this guy is. Furthermore, the fact that he received a German Peace award doesn't make him notable - it's not like he won the Nobel Prize for Peace. Jeremy Hinzman is notable due to his unsuccessful court battle to stay in Canada, and because the Army will probably make an example out of him, if/when he's deported from Canada. This guy is not.
