[edit] Why category?
I am wondering if there is a compelling reason for a new category with so much overlap with already existing categories. We already have:
Agricultural insects would all fall within these categories, would they not? Pollinator 02:05, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
I disagree because there a natural enemies of pest insects which aren´t pollinators. In addition, some insect pest causes human diseases, and they aren´t agricultural insects.
The category pest insects can be divided in agricultural pest insects and human pest insects, and the category agricultural insects can be divided in agricultural pest insects and agricultural benefical insect (pollinators and natural enimies). In addition, virus can be used as a biological pest control agents.

- It seems to me that "agricultural insects" wouldn't be limited to "pests"; rather, it would include honeybee, silkworm, etc. Gene Nygaard 15:16, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
