The Agriculture Minister of Israel (Hebrew: שר החקלאות, Sar HaHakla'ut) is the political head of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and a relatively minor position in the Israeli cabinet. Since 1992 the full title of the position has been the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (Hebrew: שר החקלאות ופיתוח הכפר, Sar HaHakla'ut vePituah HaKfar), the Development Ministry having been abolished in 1974. The current minister is Shalom Simhon of Labour. The holder of the post oversees the country's agricultural industry.
Two serving Prime Ministers, Menachem Begin and Ehud Barak; Begin following the death of the incumbent, and Barak following the resignation of the former minister's party from his coalition.
There is occasionally a Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
