Agricultural University (Peshawar)

NWFP Agricultural University is a research-based agricultural university located at Peshawar, North-West Frontier Province, Pakistan.

The history of NWFP Agricultural University can be traced to the College of Agriculture established in 1957 as a constituent college of the University of Peshawar. In 1974, the college became Faculty of the Agriculture under the University of Peshawar. It attained its autonomous status as NWFP Agricultural University, Peshawar in 1981.

The academic programs have been divided into the following five faculties, each headed by a Dean:
- Crop Production Science
- Crop Protection Science
- Rural Social Science
- Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
- Nutrition Science
The university also has three institutes: the Institute of Biotechnology and Genetics Engineering (IBGE), Institute of Business and Management Sciences (IBMS), and Institute of Development Studies (IDS).
