Agora Spółka Akcyjna or Agora SA (Agora Joint Stock Company) is a media corporation listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
It is owner or co-owner of:
- a national daily newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza,
- a daily called "Metro" in several large Polish cities,
- 3 regional weeklies,
- 14 national colour magazines,
- 29 local one super-regional radio stations, including TOK FM, Roxy FM, Złote Przeboje, Blue FM
- a national outdoor advertising agency AMS,
- a major internet portal Gazeta.pl and an announcement website Aaaby.pl which is one of the largest on the Polish market.
In 2002 Agora tried to buy the national Polish television station Polsat. During this period the corruption scandal known as the Rywin affair, which involved relations between media and a law passing through parliament, occurred.
In 2005 Agora brought out a new daily Nowy Dzień but stopped printing it after a few months due to low sales. This failure, together with the success of a competing new daily Dziennik Polska-Europa-Świat published by the Polish branch of Axel Springer AG, influenced a long term fall of about 60% in the value of Agora's actions on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

In September 2007, Agora sent a cease and desist notice to the independent media network Indymedia, in relation to an article discussing Agora's use of a logo allegedly similar to the one used by Indymedia, for an allegedly similar internet service.[2]
