[edit] Truth or Lies?
Good morning (GMT time); I am currently recieving an email from one User:Decato with a plea for help concerning his recent ban. User:Decato, in his email, says the following:
"...I have been punitvely blocked by administrator Zoe without cause or discussion. Would you be able to help? Zoe refuses to discuss or unblock..." -- Decato
"...Do I have your word that you are not a sockpuppet as alleged? A word of warning, I intend to have you re-checked under Checkuser..." -- myself
"...I changed my name but I would not classify what I did as being a sock puppet. If you look at the history it is the same person complain who has a problem because of critical but face based edits regarding Hugo Chavez.
From what I read I can change my name..." -- Decato
What is your advice in this matter. I request a reply on my talk page if that is agreeable with yourself.
Cheers and regards,
Anthøny 11:54, Friday December 29, 2006 (UTC)
- MagicKirin was blocked indef October 1, reappeared as Decato on December 5; that's not a name change, it's a sockpuppet used to evade a block, and is blockable. Checkuser confirmed that he was the same user. He denied it for weeks, including spamming my email from magickirin@aol.com with dozens of messages insisting that he, Decato, was not MagicKirin. There is really no question to this one; he's a sockpuppeteer, he's continuing to disrupt the site, and there is no reason to unblock him. Essjay (Talk) 02:13, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi Anthony! Thanks for your message on my talk page - I replied there. (BTW, the colord traffic light frame is a nice idea!) — Sebastian 19:13, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply there. Actually, this was just meant as an amendment to what I had written in the section above your announcement. I really feel that this should be decided among the community of math editors, not just between Pmetzger, myself, and a mediator. (I'm copying this here because I think it's an especially important point that I don't want you to overlook, not to drag the discussion here.) — Sebastian 19:45, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, I overlooked your reply. I moved the discussion to a subpage to make it easier to track edits. It's now here: User talk:SebastianHelm/Equiv versus Equal-Def#Anthony's overlooked message. — Sebastian 19:56, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

- I am employing a semi-automated bot, AutoWikiBrowser. This scans through articles and detects WikiFormat inaccuracies, such as white space which was what my cleanup removed. To use AWB, go to the AWB page and register under Request for Use; please note that you must have 500+ edits to use AWB.

[edit] I have an issue with wikipedia
Talk:Racism and Talk:Racism by country there is an editing gang operating on these page preventing any plural discussion of Israel and racism, there are two criterion in place where poorly constructed arguments are allowed in, but detailed arguments for inclusion of Israel are vetoed for all kinds of reasons. I believe Wikipedia has a duty to prevent this kind of behavior which is not only undemocratic it is dangerous. See the chain of convo on the talk page to see the impossible retort to every voice which is about Israel and racism, at least 4-5 editors in this gang pushing the same POV. Now the comments speak for themselves but i am also concerned at the editors who are admins that are part of this gang. I am also concerned that the list of people to turn to all come from one camp, there is no African voice, no Islamic Voice, no balance. I could very well be talking to another part of that crew--HalaTruth(ሀላካሕ) 04:36, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- I just happened to see this message due to an edit conflict, but I'll respond to it anyway. I suggest that Halawah post a request for a third opinion, rather than asking specific users to help: this ensures that one or more neutral outsiders are able to review the situation, rather than specific users invited by one side of the debate. Alternatively, a request for comment could also be appropriate. Daveydweeb (chat/review!) 04:53, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

User talk:Anthony cfc/key/othertalkpage
Hey again, I'm back and (more or less) awake.
I checked out your editing history, and based on what I've seen, I'd vote to support you in an RfA on the basis that you appear to know what you're doing -- when I last participated actively in RfA a few weeks ago, !*voters were beginning to trend more toward supporting until someone demonstrated that a serious problem existed; that's what I like to see, and I think it lends you a good chance if you were to run.
- minor spelling fix -- Anthony (11:13 29/D/06)
So, I'm reasonably comfortable with nominating you any time you like, although I'll be away from a computer from about 24 hours from now until the 3rd of January (Australian Eastern Standard Time). Would then be convenient for you?
Before I make a final decision, though, I'd just be interested in knowing what specific admin activities you would be undertaking if you were to pass an RfA. The more specific you can be, the better: it gives me a chance to develop a good nomination for you, and will probably help some voters overlook your "low" edit counts in certain namespaces. :)

- Ugh, why did I forget to sign that properly? It must be my old age. See, I won't make that mistake again --> Daveydweeb (chat/review!) 04:58, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
I have done this twice, there is an imbalance on this site i think wiki should try to address it. I am not that computer literate and find the help section send me in a circle. the list of admins all come from a certain POV, have a look and see, they are involved in the problem.--HalaTruth(ሀላካሕ) 05:01, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- And they say admins are ordinary users with a few extra buttons :) well it seems to me that ordinary users are a little more intelligent :P -- Anthony (11:01 29/D/06)
-
- Thanks for your reply, David, and as for what areas I would be interested in? In particular, I woild be keeping a close eye on the 3RR rule which seems to be getting worse - and I also get a lot of pleas for help in that area (such as above, unless it's archived by the time you read this). Secondly, the rollback tools which make your recent changes life a lot easier would come in handy; and naturally, so so would the blocking tool.
-
- I would also keep a hawk eye out on the Admin noticeboard, which I believe would be the most efficient way for me to perfect my sysop skills.
-
- All in all, I just want to use the tools to keep Wikipedia a friendlier, more vandal-free place.
-
- Cheers for your help,

[edit] Esperanza
Would you like to see Esperanza return Geo. 20:01, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- In a word - no. The organisation was deleted for a reason; the cleansing of the program is for the best. Esperanza was like a 3/4 rotten apple - the 1/4 of the apple that was good, consisting of flavours such as Admin Coaching and Stress alerts, was cut up and put into the Wikipedia apple pie. The other 3/4 was put exactly where it needs to be - the bin. One huge, deleted-items bin; lost in the mists of Wikimedia servers.
- If metaphors are not your thing, then here is my justification in a literal manner - Esperanza was a hierarchical organisation that detracted from the real reasons editors are to sign on each day - to edit. The useful parts where stripped off and given pages of their own, and the rest of it was deleted.
- If you plan to recreate Esperanza, then a warning to you - the majority of the Wikipedia community are going to see your recreation as an opportunity for an editor to head an influential (or once influential) organization, purely for his/her own benefit. Please don't read into this wrong - I am not at all suggesting that, but I am in no doubt that that is what the community consensus is going to be. Esperanza was deleted for a reason, and we will get on just fine without it.
- I hope my answer makes sense to you, and just to clarify - I do not wish to see Esperanza return, and I do not wish to be made a part of it.
Thanks for responding. Geo. 22:53, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Adminship
Heya! Thanks for the message. And yes, that^ is quite a good response to an odd sort of question. :)
I'm actually pleased that you turned down my offer, since you're interested in Admin Coaching before an RfA -- that's definitely a good idea, and I had nothing but positive experiences from it. As for your edit count, I wouldn't really worry too much about it. If you continue to edit, and involve yourself in activities that demonstrate your ability to take on admin tasks (AMA-related work, AfD participation, the usual) then your edit count will generally be ignored. The important thing is to preempt anyone who would oppose you based on a low count in certain areas: that means developing a strong track record, being completely open in your RfA, and demonstrating your ability despite that "shortcoming". And when I put it like that, I guess I even make it sound easy. :)
Have fun with this, and good luck in the future! I look forward to seeing how you go. Daveydweeb (chat/review!) 03:20, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MedCom nomination
User talk:Anthony cfc/key/Unresolved
Heh, your userspace looks significantly nicer than mine now. It's no problem, thanks for taking the time to look around. —Xyrael / 14:10, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have an idea - do you know how the page title would have looked in those archives? eg, RfA is always Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Username. Then I can lookup the page text. —Xyrael / 12:56, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- That is the problem - the user had an extremely complicated username; I've been searching the user log under "s" as well as my email but I simply cannot find any sign of the case or even the username! I'd like to extend my apologies over this - once the nominations are ended I intend to set about creating an archive system that works for the AMA. In the meanwhile, perhaps you'd like to examine my Med Cabal case? Once again, my apologies. Also, hope your exams go well (sourced from your notice placed on User:Xyrael).
-
-
- Someone is out to get me - I mediated that case for the MedCabal, then for a trial run for getting onto MedCom, and now I'm commenting on a MedCom nomination related to it. Weird. Okay, looking at that case I'm not seeing a huge amount of actual advocacy, as basically Seraphim changed his mind. I don't mean to be too picky, but am I missing something there? I'm still leaning towards support, but I would like to see if we do have some evidence, somewhere. Thanks! :) —Xyrael / 20:50, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

-
-
-
- The entire advocacy system was conducted over email, with respects to the Seri...(I can never remember the exact name :) 's wishes. If you require, I can copy over the communications, although I'll need about half an hour. Also, I believe the fact that I had to maintain a rather heavy discussion with Google is a key point; really, this is the best I can give you at the moment with regards to past cases. The reason I am looking to join MedCom is so that I can deal with more challenging and controvertial cases in a position of authority rather than just a bystander. Happy Hogmanay and New Year's Day!
In response to your querie sent via email regarding adding a definition, remember that Wikipedia is not a Dictionary; although every good article begins with a definition, aritcles that are simply a definition are liable to be deleted. If you are looking to simply add a definition, jump over to Wikitionary, the Dictionary version of Wikipedia.
However, if you are looking to add an article, simply type into the search bar the name of the article you want to create; if nothing comes up, then the article doesn't exit and you can create it by following the instructions provided.
I hope this helps - if you need more clarification or have any more questions, just post them here!
Cheers and regards,

[edit] User:Yrgh
Hi. I have been watching the activities of User Yrgh since he made some questionnable edits to a few of the Dune-related pages, which are my primary area of interest, and noticed that you have become the latest to join a group of people who have tried to reason with him. While I make no excuse for the behavior of other users, I trust that you have also had a look at his archived talk page and his contributions. --SandChigger 17:39, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Is there anything in particlular I should be looking for in the archive? Also, did you notice my request at the top of the page - don't include "re" in the header! I'm not being picky - it's just that it sets of a certain medical condition of mine :) Anthonycfc [T • C] 17:44, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- Oops...I did in fact read it the first time I came by this page. Sorry for the oversight.
-
- What to look for in the archive: where the two users in question have apologized and tried to patch things up and where others, including myself, have tried to persuade Yrgh to consider the implications of his own actions. (Your "You're not hated" comment echoes one of my own.)
-
- More important is Yrgh's contributions, specifically his continuing failure to post complaints correctly on the RFC page, his uncivil comments on various pages (including yours), failure to sign comments almost everywhere, and his posting of copyrighted material to the Illuminati article, for which he was temporarily blocked. (I can provide diff links for all of these if you want.) Note also these two suspicious edits from IP address 64.230.47.240: Juppiter user page, Konman72 user page.
-
- I don't really know Juppiter other than in this connection, but I do know that TAnthony has done an enormous amount of valuable work on the Dune pages. I would hate to see him be censured as a result of having tangled with someone who appears, from my POV, to be something of a trouble maker. Until now I have been under the impression that it takes more than edit count to qualify as a "valuable editor". --SandChigger 18:32, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
I'll CheckUser him with the two IPs - the edits do indeed seem suspicious. Perhaps it is time to post User:Yrgh on AIV? Anthonycfc [T • C] 18:37, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nice userpage [cough]
I noticed there's still a couple of links that still direct to me; eg my inbox (see the talk page header). If I get any emails that are meant to go to you before you can change it over, I'll be sure to forward them on :) Why I came here is that I believe your Signpost idea has a fair amount of promise - I'd be happy to do it, unless you want to, and discussion will take place on Wikipedia talk:Wikipedia Signpost. Also, given the text of the GNU FDL and general etiquette, it is good form to acknowledge where you have "adopted" the design of your userpage from - I have no objection to people using it, but I'd like to be acknowledged when it does. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ] 23:52, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry - I'd actually written a big section about where it came from at the "Userpage Design" paragraph, but this doesn't seem to have saved (I think I lost that version). Also, don't worry - this version will only remain until the fundraiser notice at the top is gone.
- Also - hope you don't mind, but I'd quite enjoy conducting the interview - but if you want I'm willing to do every other one (i.e. I do one, you do one, etc..) The initial interview can be conducted by the both of us. Also - when is there going to be spaces on the RFCUser Clerk team - there's a fair number on standby (including myself) who would be willing to fill in for the inactive clerks until they return. Cheers and regards, Anthony 23:58 4/January/06 (UTC)
- Essjay and I usually evaluate the clerk list every three months or so, and pick one or two from the list. Regarding the interviews, what medium are you planning on doing them: email or IRC? I could organise an IRC meeting with Jimmy easily enough, and that would be good if we're doing the first one together :) Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ] 00:05, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- I'm very unfamiliar with IRC - i.e. I've never used it - and so I'd prefer it if you conducted it via email. I'm aiming to have the questions pulled together by the issue of the Wikipedia Signpost 2 weeks away (i.e. not the up-and-coming issue but the next one). My first idea over questions is asking Wales about the Esperanza deletion - eg "What do you think will be the knock-on effect of the deletion of Esperanza with regards to an upsurge of editors leaving the project, or the establishement of a similar project". What do you think? --Anthony 00:09 5/1/07

- OK, I think they're ready. If you want, maybe you could just send a link off to Jimmy via email inviting him to add his answers to [2], rather than have to format/reformat them. Of course, that is, if he accepts :) Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ] 01:12, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Also, at the discussion location where I originally brought up the Interview idea, some user have expressed concerns that it should be Foundation issues only, and not topics such as Esperanza. I think that perhaps we should take what they have said on board, and for the next interview - perhaps in 2/3 weeks - we could interview User:Mindspillage (Kat Walsh): she has her first face-to-face board meeting this/next week, so it would be a real "inside scoop" :) Cheers, Anthonycfc [T • C] 01:28, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RFA
Hey, thanks so much for supporting my recent RFA. A number of editors considered that I wasn't ready for the mop yet and unfortunately the RFA did not succeed (69/26/11). There are a number of areas which I will be working on (including changing my username) in the next few months in order to allay the fears of those who opposed my election to administrator.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your support over the past week. I've been blown away by the level of interest taken in my RFA and appreciate the time and energy dedicated by all the editors who have contributed to it, support, oppose and neutral alike. [edit] User:Db1944;s Railway Contributions
Thanks for the heads up. I was looking through disambig links that we've got listed on Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains/Todo/Disambig and found the station articles in question through the what links here on platform. When I started updating them to point to the correct destination page, I went through with a cleanup of overlinking; in some cases, I found the same word linked twice in the same sentence, which seemed overkill and easily fixable. I will usually update the {{TrainsWikiProject}} parameters when I update an article so I don't have to go searching for it again; since these articles didn't have the project banner on them yet, I added it to them.
On the quality and importance scales, the criteria is described on WP:TWP/A. After rating a bout 2,500 articles, I haven't heard any substantial objections to the ratings scheme or specific article ratings except on 10 or 15 cases, so I've been working with an implied consensus (and I've frequently asked for feedback on the project talk page and other appropriate pages). I looked back through my talk archives to find the responses that I've written so far for individual questions and summarized them on User:Slambo/Assessment thoughts. If Db1944 would like a more thorough assessment for the station articles he's worked on with discrete pointers on items that can be improved, I'd be happy to oblige (but I might not get to that as quickly as I want to since I've got a couple of very busy weekends and many busy evenings coming up). The most important point here is that a Low-Importance rating is not a vote for deletion; it merely states that the subject of the article is not vital to understanding rail transport technology or history on a worldwide scale. The Jordanhill railway station article, for example, is currently listed as Low-Importance, but it's a GA and it has been featured for a week as the Selected article on Portal:Trains.
I'll work on putting together a more direct reply to him later today (but I've got two other appointments already tonight, so it may happen in the morning). Slambo (Speak) 21:06, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- I will never ignore the comments of a civil user just because I have left due to a troll (see header notice); so here goes: thank you very much for your comments - and I'm surprised at Jordanhill railway station being a GA - it's a station very close to my heart (I live in Glasgow). I appreciate your side of the story, and appreciate you taking the time to reply. I will not be replying with more details until the troll that has offended me has been removed or apologised. Once again, thank you for your reply! Regards, Anthonycfc [T • C] 22:18, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding VandalProof
Anthony, I was not intending to troll you, nor was I intending to turn you off from Wikipedia with your removal of access. This removal was done as a preventative action, as I did not know whether these edits were mistakes, or malicious, and I erred on the side of caution. If you can provide explanations for them, I can likely reinstate your access. The revocation was never meant as a punishment, and if you saw it as such, I apologise.
As to your header, all I can say is that you should probably read the No Personal Attacks policy and remember that Wikipedia has a code of conduct. If you honestly felt attacked, then I can understand your response, but - two wrongs do not make a right, it makes two wrongs. Cheers, ✎ Peter M Dodge ( Talk to Me • Neutrality Project ) 23:38, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- The header has nothing to do with yourself - I respect you as a Wikipedian and as a user with the well-being of the community and of VandalProof in mind and I beg you to understand that I am in no way making a personal attack against yourself or any other Wikipedian - only to an "editor" with regards to an email conversation. The dispute has been resolved (per my personal style of discussing then disengaging) and the header will be removed after this edit. As for your apology, please do not post it - there is no need here: I see you had good intentions; furthermore, I have decided to stay on Wikipedia - I do feel that I may be wanted here, even if just a little.
- Explanation of my mistake on VP will be posted later - I wish to gather some resources (diffs, etc..) to present my case. In the meanwhile, I leave you with this: I mean Wikipedia no harm...in fact, I have contributed my time (and health at some points) to this project and do not hold any malicious intent towards it or the experienced, kind and civil editors. [edit] Upsetting edits

Hi, you recently made a major content change and essentially hijacked WP:WC/Wikipedia:Welcoming Committee from a perfectly good, and much more useful version , which I drop essentially all the time when welcoming newcomers. In point of fact, until the people running HELP (or working on welcome templates) get their head out of their rear, this was one of the few places a newbie could find a link to Wikipedia:Newcomers_help_page. They insist on hiding it on the main help, and I'm disappointed in the extremis that your bright version hasn't got it either.
That namecase variant version was specifically tailored to give newbies help links, and a navigation link to WP:Welcoming committee and it's members. It also linked to admins and iirc, some other good stuff that would be helpful to someone in this sad state. I cannot see that this gaudy version is anything but the variant (WP:Wc). I hate reverts, but overwriting a page without discussing it has me going for one here. Sorry. I edited it just a few short days ago, so courtesy would have been to at least ask me, or let me know it was being discussed for major change somewhere. Best regards // FrankB 07:15, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- See to be honest, at the moment I'm feeling down outside of Wikipedia, so do what you wish. However, would it not be simpler just to update the current version (which I think appeals more to newbies who are more used to HTML websites who have skins similar to my version) with the links you see fit? Please note that it uses some subpages, so if you are choosing to compromise on this matter and you can't find the relevant subpage just drop me a message.
- Kind regards,
Anthonycfc [T • C] 12:26, 13 January 2007 (UTC)- Anthony, I hope things get better for you soon. Is there anything we can do to cheer you up or take your mind off your troubles? The Transhumanist 16:42, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

- I have to agree with Anthony on the WC issue. His formatting is a major improvement to the page. Someone else pointed out the "mess" over at the Welcoming Committee, so that's how I came across your little dispute. I've taken the liberty of revamping the revamp, and have tried to include the best of both of your guys' versions. My explanation is on the talk page. I look forward to working with both of you further on this and other pages. Viva la newbies! Cheers and regards, The Transhumanist 16:42, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Cambuslang railway station.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Cambuslang railway station.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:05, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:ADOPT
Hi there,
As a current Adopter with the Adopt-a-User program there has been some ongoing developments that we would like to bring to your attention.
A new Adopter's Area has been created where you can find useful resources and other Adopter's experiences. Please feel free to add any resources you may have found useful as an Adopter, as well as recount any experiences that you think may help others. If you know of any useful resources for new users / Adoptees then you can add them here.
Also the way the adoption process works has changed slightly. To decrease workload at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user, on offering adoption please change the {{Adoptme}} template to {{Adoptoffer}} on the user's user page, and this will add the user to Category:Wikipedians having been offered adoption. Users that have already been offered adoption can always have a second or third offer, but by separating out those users that have not had an adoption offer yet, it is hoped that no one will go lacking.
Furthermore numerous Adopters have been adding their details to a list of users available for adopting, to offer a more personalised service and allow new users to browse through and pick their own Adopter. The quickest way to adopt though, is still to contact users at the Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user.
Finally - thanks for all your hard work, keep it up - and if you have any general questions or suggestions about the further development of Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User please bring them to our talk page. Cheers Lethaniol 13:46, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Picture of Class 318 on Cambuslang railway station page
This picture is taken at Gourock and has not been credited as required by the picture. It would be more appropraite to add a picture taken at Cambuslang. Stewart 16:08, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for your help; feel free to remove it. However, as my contributions are clearly going to be scrutinised by you, you can do it yourself - I no longer have any interest in an article that has no room for anybody else's improvements. Good day. Anthonycfc [T • C] 16:11, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- This article has plenty of room for your improvements - that is improvements not inaccuracies. You were infering that that picture was approaching the station, which is not. If I was not happy with it the picture, I would have removed it, it was the inferrence of the location, and the request be the contributor of the picture that he was attributed that I was unhappy with.
-
- As regarding scurtinising it, I have it on watch as I carried out an edit in the past. Nothing more. Stewart 16:27, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- My apologies for biting - I am feeling down today (a side-effect of medication I am on) and I am a little under the weather. Once again, my apologes and I thank you for keeping a hawk eye on the article :) Regards, Anthonycfc [T • C]
- Post script - Cambuslang railway station is currently undergoing a GA nomination, if you are interested; naturally you wouldn't be able to pass it, since you have edited it more than once, but this may spur you on to keep an even tighter eye on the article. Cheers!
-
- I had intended to take some pictures of local (south side) pictures at the beginning of this month, however the weather has just not been up to it when I have had time off - Wednesday was great (at work); Thursday was diabolical (day off); today not much better. My main interest in the History of Scottish Railways - I am mainly interested in Caledonian Railways, but others come to my attention form time to time.
-
- As far as Cambuslang is concerned, I would really like to get some pictures pre-electrification; and those of the engineering works when the track was lowered in thr early 1970's to accomodate the wires.
-
- Look after yourself - the current weather is enough to depress anyone, without the health problems making things worse. Stewart 16:41, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your concern; I'd love to get some pictures - especially of the GNER passing through, or of a busy peak hour train arriving (the 08:01 Dalmuir is very busy) but I'm currently occupied by studying and I really can't afford a trip down. Maybe after the exams... Regards, Anthonycfc [T • C] 16:46, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your image use
I have noticed that you are using images for every section of your talk page. I am advising you not too...as it puts a load on the Commons servers, I used to do it once with the "tick" template but an admin advised me not too. Cheers! Arjun 20:07, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Thats fine. Ill poke in occasionaly to see how things are going. Good luck. :) -Ste|vertigo 23:29, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ben Stiller
User talk:Anthony cfc/key/Unresolved Thanks for reviewing the article and adding your suggestions. I just had a few questions for clarification of what you wrote. When you talked about the Emmy-winning, MTV, etc., does that mean that I should elaborate on those terms? (for example ...the show was picked up by MTV, a music video television network, which...) And for the disorder statement, should I remove the "misunderstanding" word or the whole quote (I just found two sources before I submitted it telling about his not having the disorder)? Would "Stiller claimed that this earlier interview's comment about the disorder was false" be sufficient and NPOV? Thanks again for helping, and let me know if there is anything else I should fix. Once I hear back from you and fix the mistakes (it may be a day or two, I'm on a slow dial-up), I'll let you know before I resubmit it to WP:GAC. --Nehrams2020 01:05, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- My apologies - I realise that I was vague in that I simply listed those examples without clarifying what I wished to be improved, like I did with the second reason for failing.
- I am of the opinion that it would be best for the entire statement to be removed - the actor doesn't have Bipolar disorder - a form of clinic depression - and therefore this doesn't need to be included. Perhaps you may wish to include the statement you proposed above ("Stiller claimed that this earlier...") in the draft of the article you are going to resubmit to WP:GA/C and, if this is so, I will refrain from passing or failing the article - I will leave it to another editor who may be less strict than myself.
- Once again, well done so far and keep up the excellent work on the article. Kindest regards,
Anthonycfc [T • C] 01:10, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Good articles
Hi. I noticed you reviewing articles. I don't know if you have been doing it before. In case you haven't, I want to remind you to also add the articles you pass to Wikipedia:Good articles. I hope you will continue to review GA articles, and that you will find it as rewarding as I do.
Fred-Chess 02:11, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- My apologies - I thought I was missing something :) I'll go ahead and fix that right now. My thanks for bringing this to my attention; and yes - I find it highly rewarding, for some reason! Kindest regards, Anthonycfc [T • C] 02:13, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Med Com
Hello again, apologies for inactivity - I've been putting time into other things than enwiki recently. I think that you have shown a great deal of maturity and helpfulness while assisting me with evidence, so thanks - I think you're the kind of person we want on the committee due to this. Supporting now. —Xyrael / 17:23, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Shucks :) Thanks for taking the time to reply; kindest regards, Anthonycfc [T • C] 17:25, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RE:Mediation Committee
Yes, sorry to have kept you waiting; wasn't fair of me. I've been moving my activities gradually over to meta these days, with medcom basically all I do over here now. So, I need to get on to it! I notice you stole my exams template too ;O (it's no problem at all) —Xyrael / 17:44, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well at least I never stole your entire talkpage header :P Cheers for your reply; may I ask what is your motivation behind contributing to Meta, and what is it that you do over there? I've never found anything to do over there, to be honest? Just curious... Anthonycfc [T • C] 17:47, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
