Activity level: full • Current activity: observing

During my activities on-Wikipedia, I often find myself repeating a message over-and-over. To improve turnaround, efficiency and throughput, I have collected some of the messages I most commonly use, perfected them, and placed them below for future use. Feel free to propose any amendments directly to me, or lift any material you like.

  • Block notice

{{subst:Uw-ublock|subst=subst:}}
Per Wikipedia's [[WP:U|username policy]], usernames that promote or advertise an external organisation (eg., a website) are not permissible. Apologies for the inconvenience; please do register a new account, and make your contributions from there. I look forward to having you edit the encyclopedia alongside me in the future!

[edit] Requests for adminship

  • Early, snowball not now closure
    • Editor name, I am sorry to inform you that I have closed your RfA as unlikely to reach consensus: there was a snowballing number of oppose votes, compared to a small number of support votes, and so it's best if we just close now. However, don't be downhearted by this: I can assure you that your contributions are both highly welcome and valued. Indeed, many editors have failed their first request for adminship, only to sail through later and become well-respected administrators.
    • You may wish to review the Guide to RfA before submitting future nominations, as well as well as here and here, both of which list the more highly-supported RfAs. Wikipedia:Not Now provides further information on having your rfa closed early, and where to go from here. Additionally, admin coaching is a useful aid for editors interested in becoming an administrator. If I can assist you at all, please do not hesitate to contact me. Kindest regards, ~~~~

[edit] Requests for rollback

  • Talk page notification of request-acceptance
    • Editor name, per your request on WP:RFR, I have enabled your account with the rollback feature. Please read documentation on the tool, and remember that it is to be used for the removal of vandalism only—it must not be used to aid edit warring.
    • If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at my talk page. (Signature).
    • Remember to annotate WP:RFR entry with {{Done}}, and to actually implement the request!

[edit] RfCU clerking

Note, this is applicable for code letter F only; other usages will require tweaking.

Clerk note: it would appear that the code letter provided (F, "circumvention of community-based bans or blocks") is not applicable to the circumstances cited in the above case—the accounts provided are simply blocked on a disruption basis, rather than with the backing of the community through consensus expressed via discussion. However, the question of whether a case warrants a check is the remit of the Checkusers, not the Clerks, and I will make no further comment. Anthøny 19:45, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
