Agia Mavra, Elis

Agia Mavra (Greek: Άγια Μάυρα) is a village in the prefecture of Elis. It is part of the municipality of Tragano. It is 5 km NE of Gastouni. It is situated not far from the Pineios River. Greece Interstate 9 is 5 km NW and about 5 km NE. Distance from Patras is 69 km SE and 33 km WNW of Pyrgos. The neighboirng villages and towns are Lefkochori to the west, Kavasila (Ilia), Greece (commune) to the northwest, Tragano (commune) and Stafidokampos to the north, Roupaki (commune) to the southeast and Koroivos to the southwest.

Agia Mavra offers views of Chlemoutsi along with the mountains including western Movri, Skollis and Erymanthos and to the south, it also offers views of the island of Zakynthos and Kefalonia during clearer days, the southwestern part of the Etoloakarnania prefecture can rarely be seen. Much of the view are blocked by nearby forests.

The village has a school and a church. The western part, the valley, and the southern portion of the town are covered with forests. A large portion of the village is used for farming.
